Legal Update by Abu-Jamal Lead Attorney Robert R. Bryan

Posted on July 6, 2007. On July 4, Mumia Abu-Jamal lead counsel Robert R. Bryan sent around an e-mail commenting on recent developments in the case, the May 17 court hearing in Philadelphia, and the prospects for the future. According to Bryan, a decision by the 3rd Court of Appeals is expected somewhere between "mid-July and the fall." Bryan also notified supporters that the defense has filed another brief in state court, namely, to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. This brief is attached to the next posting.
